The festival will feature a Mardi Gras Parade, where locals and visitors alike can join in the revelry, don traditional costumes, and embrace the rich traditions of Cajun culture. In a family-friendly atmosphere, the spirit of celebration comes alive with the presence of Evangeline Parish “Courir de Mardi Gras” delegates and residents in attendance. Embrace the joyous atmosphere, colorful Wrapping up Bastrop’s Mardi Gras festivities is a free Fat Tuesday celebration from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Feb. 13. Held at Calvary Episcopal Church, the third annual party will start with a parade down Main Street, followed by a performance featuring the Jason McKenzie Jazz Quartet and pancakes for everyone!
