Let the good times roll at Mardi Gras at The Wharf on Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 3pm-7pm. Watch the parade on Wharf Street, dance to live music, grab a hurricane from the Market Square Party Zone, and party on! Where: Activities will take place throughout The Wharf neighborhood along Wharf Street, District Pier (101 District Square SW) and Transit Pier (970 Wharf Street SW). Deets: Experience the spirit of New Orleans—feathers, beads and all—during Mardi Gras at The Wharf! The free, community-wide festival features a mile-long parade down Wharf An epic Mardi Gras celebration requires at least three key elements: an elaborate parade, the best local entertainment, and ornate costumes. Plus, hurricanes and king cakes. Beads, obviously. Not to mention a sea of purple, green, and gold. The Wharf understands the assignment. And they deliver. Every. Single. Year. On March 1, grab your beads, Mardi Gras activity stations on Recreation pier will also open for kids. 3:30pm: Parade Begins Enjoy a spirited parade featuring stilt walkers, jugglers, the Mardi Gras king and queen, and fantastic floats from your favorite Wharf neighborhood partners including Capital Yacht Club, Maker's Union, Wharf Marina and more to be announced soon. The parade will begin marching along Wharf Street at 3:30 p.m., next to the water, and end at Parker Row, near Hell’s Kitchen. The Wharf’s Mardi Gras parade is going to be a big event: There will be jugglers, stilt walkers, decorated floats, and a Mardi Gras king and queen. The parade will kick off on Market Pier and head a mile down Wharf Street. Mardi Gras Festival. March 1, 1–6 p.m. If you can’t go to New Orleans, Shipgarten’s festival might be the next best thing. Throughout the five-hour celebration, guests can compete in a bead-toss challenge, enter to win tickets to George Porter’s Wolf Trap concert, or enjoy the delicious food and drinks that’ll remind you of Bourbon Mardi Gras at The Wharf returns on Saturday, March 1 with more floats, beads, fireworks and more.
