The festivities begin on Jan. 6, which is known as Twelfth Night or Epiphany, with parades every week until the Tuesday of Mardi Gras. Parades feature extravagant floats and are organized by private organizations called “ krewes ,” though attendance is open to the public. When is Mardi Gras 2025?
