Latest Mardi Gras News The Krewe of Muses signature floats rolls on the uptown parade route in New Orleans, Thursday, Feb. 24, 2022. The parade rolled with 26 floats and over 1,100 female members to the theme, "Muses The 2025 Carnival Season -- marked by a weekslong pre-Lenten bash and complete with colorful parades, shimmery beads tossed from floats and streets lined with costumed revelers -- is reaching its conclusion on the Gulf Coast. From February 1 through March 30, guests will let the good times roll as they experience an authentic, family-friendly version of the Mardi Gras bash at Universal Studios Florida. The event will be held over 60+ nights – with the food booths open and the parade taking place every night. Chewbacchus (February 1, 2025): A sci-fi and pop-culture-themed parade that celebrates Star Wars and other popular fandoms in the most fun way possible. What makes these floats so special is that they're designed and created by Kern Studios, the premier float builder for New Orleans' many Mardi Gras parades.
