When you begin your Mardi Gras World tour, you’ll get an overview of the history of Mardi Gras in New Orleans before continuing through our float den, where our artists work year-round to build spectacular floats and props. Mardi Gras World offers a behind the scenes look at New Orleans Mardi Gras traditions. Take the tour to see the year-long float building process. Where Every Day Is Mardi Gras! Visitors watch a short film on the history of Mardi Gras. Once the film is over you can sample a slice of King Cake, try on some Mardi Gras attire, and then walk through the warehouse to see a variety of floats/props. Mardi Gras World is open 7 days a week, from 9:00am to 5:30pm, with the first admission beginning at 9:00 am and last admission at 4:30pm.
