Mardi Gras! Galveston Parade. Revelers will enjoy this festive night parade, as it circles the Entertainment District wrapping up the second Friday of celebrations for Mardi Gras! Galveston, 2025. Get ready for some high stepping Drum Majors, Rolling Party Floats and tons of excitement! 7:00 p.m. George P. Mitchell Mardi Gras Award Honoree Parade Following the George P. Mitchell Mardi Gras Award Presentation, this is the first parade to Kick Off Mardi Gras Galveston 2025! This parade is packed with marching bands, dancing squads & tons of energy. The island’s 114th Mardi Gras celebration, to be held February 21 thru March 4, 2025 is expected to draw more than 350,000 attendees for live concerts, parades, balcony parties, elegant balls and much more. Mardi Gras! Galveston is delighted to announce the distinguished recipients of the prestigious George P. Mitchell Mardi Gras Award: Mike Doherty and Kenneth Shelton. These two lifelong residents of Galveston Island will be honored at an awards ceremony on Friday, February 21, 5:30 PM, as part of the kick-off to Mardi Gras festivities. Galveston comes alive in two main areas: the bustling Mardi Gras Entertainment District in Historic Downtown and the scenic stretch of Seawall Boulevard along the Gulf. Galveston This all-Krewe parade promises the final hours of Mardi Gras Galveston 2024, featuring marching bands, dance teams, and participating Krewes. Parade Route: Starting at 28th and Market Street, the parade heads east to 25th Street (Rosenberg), makes a right turn to Postoffice Street, takes a left and proceeds to 19th Street, turns left to Strand Mardi Gras! Galveston returns Feb. 21 through March 4, bringing two weekends of parades, concerts and celebrations to the island. The Jolly Jester Jaunt Galveston 5k at 11 a.m. Get ready for Mardi Gras Galveston 2025, Texas’ biggest and most dazzling Mardi Gras celebration!
