COUNTDOWN TO THE "Once Upon a Mardi Gras" PARADE The 17th Krewe de Jeanne d'Arc parades on Twelfth Night in New Orleans, Monday, Jan. 6, 2025. The Krewe of Kings The Krewe of Kings (aka the Kings of Metry) is a Jefferson Parish Carnival Club, established in 2019. After a short hiatus due to Covid and the tragic passing of Co-Founder Mckinley “Mackie” J. Cantrell III, the krewe is returning to the Metairie parade route on Lundi Gras in 2025. Le Festival de Mardi Gras is a carnival with rides, food and live music. Parades roll through festival grounds; Krewe of Allons 'Kick-off' Parade starts at Pontiac Point to Cajun Field at 6:30 pm; Krewe De Roux 2025 Join us for a Mardi Gras filled weekend in Downtown Brandon, hosted by the Rankin Chamber’s Leadership Rankin! Friday, February 28th kicks off with the Parade of Floats & Block Party, where colorful floats and lively music set the stage for two days of fun in Downtown Brandon. Enjoy the parade, On Mardi Gras in southwest Louisiana, some people will take part in the Cajun French tradition of the Courir de Mardi Gras, or Fat Tuesday Run. These rural processions, with links to rituals from medieval France, feature masked and costumed riders, with stops where participants perform and beg for goods. All members need to locate their assigned float at 1:30 pm on the University concourse. Mardi Gras has gone to the dogs! The Krewe of Paws will parade Saturday, February 22 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Olde Town Slidell. The Krewe promotes, facilitates, and carries out good-spirited merriment and entertainment during and leading up to the Mardi Gras season by participating in parades and hosting events that are open to the public. Through our annual Mardi Gras Ball and community events, we bring the joy and excitement of Carnival season to the heart of Acadiana. Members of the krewe dressed as walking skeletons hand out the papers and wooden doubloons at the parades. Join the Krewe de Tigris for a family-fun day at their eighth annual Mardi Gras Parade on Saturday, March 1 at 2 p.m. in Downtown Auburn’s makeshift Entertainment District. In addition to the parade, the Auburn Downtown Merchants Association will be hosting Krewe Krawl beginning at noon.
