Pensacola Mardi Gras (PMG) serves as the clearinghouse for all Mardi Gras events in Pensacola. PMG does not endorse, nor is it affiliated with, any specific Mardi Gras Krewe. The Krewes and individuals featured on our website participate in the community events that PMG organizes. Each Krewe operates independently and is its own entity. About Krewe: The Viking Mystics launched their maiden voyage in the spring of 2016. It is a non-profit organization dedicated to colony involvement through gathering donations and lending a hand to fellow villagers. The Krewe of African Queens (KAQ) is a Mardi Gras krewe in Pensacola, Florida that was established in 2002. Members are a diverse group of ladies of different ages, backgrounds, races and cultures. The Krewe of Warriors was founded in 1986 and is one of the oldest krewes in Pensacola. We are a unique co-ed krewe who changes their theme each year. Today, the Krewe of Warriors has a membership cap of 120. The Warriors host an annual Mardi Gras Ball, with a premier band, selling out each year. The krewe was formed in 2015 by Richard and Rosy Carrion. They started with an idea of bringing some their Latin heritage to Pensacola. They realized Pensacola is very ethnically diverse and full of well traveled folks who have enjoyed carnival all over the world. Our krewe has become a multi cultural group with many different flavors. Mayokis is a fictitious tribe formed in 1961 to enhance the City of Pensacola’s annual Fiesta of Five Flags celebration. During the Fiesta season, the Mayokis Court takes part in a light-hearted parody of what might have happened when Spanish Conquistador Don Tristan DeLuna first landed on the shores of Pensacola Beach in 1559.
