Mardi Gras madness is my go-to anytime I don't feel like cooking at home and want a good home cooked meal. I have tried just about everything on her menu from her seafood nachos, seafood baked potato, chicken wings and Yakamein all of in which were good. MARDI GRAS MADNESS is the first in a new cozy mystery series by author Alison Golden. Roxy Reinhardt is not your typical heroine, but she won my heart early on. First Roxie gets let go from her stressful, dead end call center job where she has to deal with a couple "mean girl" co-workers and a very controlling boss. If your looking for authentic New Orleans food stop by Mardi Gras Madness. It is a hidden gem located in a Valero gas station. I have tried the Shrimp Poboy, Hot Sausage Sandwhich, Cajun Shrimp Pasta and Ya ka Mein. The Ya Ka Main was a bit salty for me so I won't be ordering that again. I'm not a Louisiana girl exactly, but those of us who live along coastal Mississippi and coastal Alabama (i.e., that former Louisiana territory I mentioned) also celebrate Mardi Gras (a little-known fact that shocks a lot of people who aren't familiar with the roots of Mardi Gras and just think it's a crazy New Orleans party thing), and eat Auburn Mardi Gras is almost here! Celebrate with the Mystic Krewe of Black Lick Creek March 1st at downtown Auburn. Free Admission! Event starts at 11 AM and lasts until night with mask making, kid and pup parades, car show, Mechanical Shark and Tipsy Ship rides for kids, Food Truck Frenzy, and a Mardi Gras Parade at 6 PM with floats and beads!
