Mardi Gras . Saturday, March 15, 2025. 10:00 am: Fat Tire Boogie Ever wanted to ride your mountain bike down a ski slope? Now’s your chance. Register in the lobby before 10:00 A.M. Three age groups: 12 and under, 13 – 17 and 18 and over. Cost: $ 1.00. 11:00 am: Crazy Kids & Mogul Muncher’s Silly Slalom Ages 20 and under. Join Nub's Nob for the annual end-of-the-year bash, Mardi Gras, on Saturday, March 15th! Wear a costume to compete in the costume contest! Event Highlights: Fat Tire Boogie at 10 AM Crazy Kids and Mogul Munchers at 11 AM The Dorie Sarns Challenge at Noon Silly Slalom (21+) at 1:30 PM Soaker Cup at 2:30 PM MARDI GRAS! March 16 at Nub’s Nob Posted on March 16th, 2024. Happy Mardi Gras! It’s a celebration on the slopes today with music, costumes, silly races and the soaker cup. The snow is soft today and should be good for enjoying spring skiing. A rain shower may pass through in the morning, but the afternoon looks dry. Nubs is known for being the home of The Midwest's Best Snow with 53 ski slopes. MARDI GRAS! March 16 at Nub's Nob. 03-16-2024. Happy Mardi Gras! It's a Join Nub’s Nob Ski Area for their annual Mardi Gras! This event has a tradition of being so much fun with activities for the whole family. Free Mardi Gras beads, face painting, balloon animals, great food, Costume contests, the Soaker Cup, and much more! Special guest: the Petoskey Steel Drum Band live on the main deck outside the Nub’s Pub Ski across Lake Nubs without falling in. Winner receives a $200.00 Cool Cash Card. $1 entry fee. 3:30pm – Costume Judging on the deck. $200 Cool Cash Card for first prize and $100 for second and third. No charge. Age groups: 12 and under, 13-17, and 18 and older. 3:30-5:30pm – Live music featuring MYK Rise in the Winter Garden. Nub's Nob Mardi Gras celebration slated for this Saturday, Soaker Cup returns The Soaker Cup, open to all alpine skiers, starts at 2:30 p.m. Skiers try to ski across “Lake Nubs” without Saturday Ski at Nubs Nob. Dress up in your best spring ski/mardi gras costume. Participate in the slush cup or costume judging, or just have a great time. Bring your beads! Nubs has a full list of events at mardi-gras. Après Ski in Nubs Pub and possibly head over to The Highlands to the zoo bar for The Remedy band. Join Nub's Nob Ski Area for their last hurrah of the season on Saturday, March 16th.
