ROAD CLOSURE ADVISORY: During the Mardi Gras parades, the City of Orange Beach closes Highway 182 (Perdido Beach Boulevard) within the city limits of Orange Beach, Alabama to vehicular traffic on Saturday from as early as 4:00 P.M. until as late as 7:30 P.M. and again on Tuesday from as early as 1:00 P.M. until as late as 4:00 P.M. Typically Orange Beach Mardi Gras Parade. The Orange Beach parade began years ago when several groups wanted a chance to parade along the beach. Now, it is organized each year by the City of Orange Beach. The Orange Beach Mardi Gras Parade will take place on Fat Tuesday, March 4, at 2 p.m. This parade features over 50 units, including floats, local high school bands, cheerleaders, and various community groups. The parade follows the same route along Perdido Beach Boulevard as the Saturday parades. The Pirates of the Lost Treasure Mardi Gras Flotilla will float on February 15th.
