Thousands of people filled the Padre Island beach on Saturday for the annual Barefoot Mardi Gras parade. It was a day full of golf carts, music, families, and fun in the sun. The 14th annual Barefoot Mardi Gras parade, marking the end of the pre-Lenten season in Christianity, will take place at 11 a.m. near Whitecap Boulevard on the Island.
