NEW ORLEANS — Several Mardi Gras parades in New Orleans and Jefferson Parish have been rescheduled as forecasters predict severe weather, including thunderstorms and heavy rain, on Sunday. The A rainy Sunday pushed six regional Mardi Gras parades later in the schedule. Here are times and maps for Femme Fatale, Carrollton, King Arthur, Barkus, Atlas and Dionysus. A number of parades scheduled to take place in New Orleans on Sunday, Feb. 23 were postponed due to the rain. Most were rescheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 25. The Barkus parade will take place at 2 p.m The Krewe of Hyacinthians and Krewe of Titans-Houma parades scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Sunday are postponed to Monday (Feb. 24) at 6 p.m. And in Mississippi, the Krewe of Nereids parade also has Organizers of Carnival parades Uptown, in the French Quarter and Metairie scrambled Saturday to postpone rolling Sunday in light of the forecast of cold, rainy weather. The krewes of Femme Fatale The City of New Orleans has granted a permit to the 2025 Krewe of Cleopatra parade, which will take place Friday, Feb. 21, 2025.Expect road closures and traffic delays during the event in the Audubon, West Riverside, Uptown, Touro, Milan, Garden District, Central City, Lower Garden District, Central Business District, and French Quarter neighborhoods.
