DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Ahead of the 10th Krewe of Kolosse Mardi Gras parade, the parade route through downtown Dothan has been announced. The parade will kick off in the garden district, roll past Girard Elementary, and pick up steam toward Calvary Baptist Church on Montezuma Avenue. Mardi Gras, French for Fat Tuesday, originated in Mobile, Alabama. It is a celebration that happens before the fasting season of Lent.
