(Louisiana First) — The Krewe of Ascension Mambo is set to roll on Saturday, Feb. 22 in Gonzales. The parade is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. in Gonzales. This year’s theme is GONZALES — The Gonzales Police Department has announced several road closures as the Krewe of Ascension rolls on Saturday. Beginning at 10 a.m., Irma Boulevard will close for parade staging. Celebrate Mardi Gras 2025 in Gonzales, Louisiana with a range of lively events, including mardi gras parades, parties, live music, and delicious food. The Krewe of Ascension Mambo's 2024 Mardi Gras parade has been slated to roll Feb. 3 through Gonzales beginning at 2 p.m. In March 2023, the Gonzales City Council approved the date for the parade, which begins near the Gonzales Civic Center along Irma Boulevard, rolls up Cornerview Street and then south down Burnside Avenue before ending at Hwy Mardi Gras parade scheduled for Gonzales. The Krewe of Ascension Mambo will host its annual Mardi Gras parade at 2 p.m. Feb. 11 in Gonzales. The route begins on Irma Boulevard and will continue down Burnside Avenue to Hwy. 30.
