The Krewe of Isis, established in 1973 in Kenner, is the oldest and largest all-female Mardi Gras organization in Jefferson Parish. The procession typically includes 250 female riders, 21 floats, and 10 marching bands/dance teams. Prior to the start of the Isis parade, Saturday’s events will begin at 2pm with Kenner Gras, a festival at Kenner ity Park (3800 Loyola Drive) featuring food trucks and vendors, as well as live music by onfraflow beginning at 3pm. The Kenner Gras celebration is situated on the parade route and is free to the public.
