The parade is back -and better than ever: The Bayou Mardi Gras Association is proud to bring back the parade. On Jan. 26th, 2024, at 6:30pm the Parade rolls again. The Bayou Mardi Gras Association will once again be kicking off the Mardi Gras season with the first Acadiana parade that is slated to be held on Feb. 2. The association will put on the Bayou Mardi Gras Parade to introduce the festive season to the new year, and bring along visitors from across Acadiana to enjoy the kickoff to one of the Teche Mardi Gras season is slated to kick off in the coming days, and New Iberia’s Bayou Mardi Gras Parade has named its grand marshal for this year’s event. Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser will be serving as this year’s grand marshal and leading the dozens of floats that will roll in downtown New Iberia on Feb. 2 beginning at 2 p.m.
