Downtown Shreveport; 3:30 p.m. Parade starts at the corner of Lake Street and Clyde Fant Parkway, then heads south down Clyde Fant Parkway to Shreveport-Barksdale Highway. Hundreds of thousands of revelers will join in the fun for the next couple of months, and you could be a part of it. Take a look at all of the Mardi Gras parade schedules, Mardi Gras Bal dates, and the locations for all of them Mardi Gras delivers a massive boost to the Shreveport-Bossier economy, each year. In 2023, the direct impact of five area parades was estimated to be more than $10 million, and indirect spending and media value raised the total economic impact to more than $19 million. Stacy Brown, president/CEO of Visit Shreveport-Bossier, highlighted the Krewe of Gemini held its first parade in the Shreveport-Bossier area in 1990. The nonprofit, volunteer organization is home to one of the biggest Mardi Gras parades in the area. The krewe also has a Mardi Gras museum filled with memorabilia highlighting the history of Mardi Gras in north Louisiana.
