LOUIS — Soulard's biggest party of the year is back this weekend. The Mardi Gras main event, the Grand Parade, starts at 11 a.m. Here's everything you need to know if you are heading to This event is the crown jewel of the Soulard Mardi Gras season and the biggest parade outside of the Big Easy. The krewes get rolling near Busch Stadium, but the real fun starts at Chouteau, where the crowds begin lining the streets. Granite City Mardi Gras Parade. The Granite City Mardi Gras event begins at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 1 at 29th & State Street. Organizers say it will “bring Bourbon Street to you!” Enjoy live music, kids activities and shop local vendors. The Parade is followed by an after party in Civic Park at 2 p.m. Cocktail Carnival.
