With over a dozen parades full of colorfully themed floats, scores of marching bands, and tons of great throws, Houma has one of the largest Mardi Gras celebrations in Louisiana. You’ll find that a Houma Mardi Gras is full of Cajun hospitality along with safe, economical, family Celebrate Mardi Gras 2025 in Houma with a range of lively events, including mardi gras parades, parties, live music, and delicious food. Join in the celebration and let the good times roll! They say Mardi Gras in Houma is a “true Cajun celebration” with 14 parades consisting of colorfully themed floats, talented marching bands and lots of unique throws. The westside parade route begins at Southland Mall and ends at the Houma Civic Center. Over the two weeks preceding Mardi Gras, many other smaller Krewes also roll in neighboring bayou communities.
