Mardi Gras next year falls on March 4, about two weeks before St. Patrick's Day. With 12th Night on Jan. 6 marking the start of Carnival, that means the 2025 season will last 58 days, compared to this year's 38-day season. Krewe of Gemini held its first parade in the Shreveport-Bossier area in 1990. The nonprofit, volunteer organization is home to one of the biggest Mardi Gras parades in the area.
