The Mardi Gras has the same number of dining venues. Some of its popular venues are Blue Iguana Cantina, The Chef's Table, and Piazza Panini. nineteen of these restaurants are complementary and the other nine have an additional fee. The Royal Caribbean Symphony of the Seas has about the same number of dining options as the Carnival Mardi Gras. The Carnival Mardi Gras has a total of 6 pools and 7 hot tubs. 2 of the pools are exclusive access, which means there's either an extra charge to access them or you need to book a certain class of cabin to have access to them. Royal Caribbean Symphony of the Seas has fewer pools than the Mardi Gras and more hot tubs. Both Symphony of the Seas and Mardi Gras sail to the beautiful Caribbean, but they visit different destinations, allowing passengers to experience a variety of cultures and attractions. Symphony of the Seas offers four port stops on most 7-day cruises, taking passengers to popular Caribbean destinations such as Cozumel, Roatan, and St. Thomas. Royal Caribbean Harmony of the Seas is a sister ship to the famed Mardi Gras and a "celebration" for the cruise line's Mardi Gras and her sister Celebration have a few more free food options than every ship older than them. Both companies ships usually have free slides and flowrider surfing. It is currently the largest cruise ship in the world. It's 3 years newer than the Mardi Gras, which was built in 2021. The Mardi Gras pays homage to Carnival's first ship, also named the Mardi Gras. Comparatively, Mardi Gras has 20+ complimentary eateries onboard - and they’re all pretty dang delicious. We ran out of time to try every option onboard, although we did try our best. Mardi Gras has Carnival’s signature dining options, such as Guy Fieri’s restaurants Guy’s Burger Joint and Pig & Anchor BBQ Smokehouse. I have been on both the Celebration and the Mardi Gras. They are basically identical minus some of the theme areas. The Mardi Gras has a New Orleans/Mardi Gras theme while the Celebration is Miami/Art Deco. The biggest difference in venues is two of the bars on deck six. They have different themes and drinks on the two ships. The Royal Caribbean Symphony of the Seas has 3 more bars than the Carnival Celebration. The Symphony of the Seas has 20 bars like Playmakers, Sand Bar and Wonderland. On Symphony of the Seas, you can grab a drink at 17 different bars such as Golden Jubilee, Latitudes and Tides Pool Bar.
