We understand that it can be expensive to travel while sightseeing in New Orleans, so if you don’t have a car or don’t want to pay for parking, let us pick you up: Mardi Gras World offers a complimentary shuttle for people taking our day tour, with ten central pick-up spots. Mardi Gras World is open 7 days a week, from 9:00am to 5:30pm, with the first admission beginning at 9:00am and last admission at 4:30pm. Mardi Gras World is closed on Christmas and Christmas Eve, Thanksgiving, Easter and Mardi Gras Day. Holiday Hours: Mardi Gras World is closed on Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter and Mardi Gras Day. Arriving at the terminal, you start to get a sense of the size of the facility. Given the size of Mardi Gras, a large terminal was needed to service the ship and the more than 10,000 passengers that could be embarking and debarking in a single day. To handle that traffic, the terminal is 185,000 square feet, making it the largest at Port Canaveral. "There will be no parking or pedestrian access at the interim ferry terminal at Mardi Gras World." Ferry services will continue Friday, August 27, but service time will be reduced to 6 a.m. to 6: Gift shop and bathrooms available at entry and exit. This operation supplies 75% of the floats and props used in many of the Mardi Gras parades. Cruise Terminal 1 (CT1) – Primarily used by Royal Caribbean International. Cruise Terminal 3 (CT3) – The newest terminal, built for Carnival Cruise Line’s Mardi Gras and other large ships. Cruise Terminal 5 (CT5) – Serves various cruise lines, including Norwegian and Royal Caribbean. These designated Mardi Gras parking areas will be available on all parade days, opening two hours before the first parade and remaining staffed until 11 p.m. Security will be on-site after hours to ensure that those attending Mardi Gras balls or other events in the downtown area can access their vehicles after 11 p.m. on parade days. The visit definitely provides a bird’s eye view of the Mardi Gras process. Visiting Mardi Gras World makes for a wonderful way to enjoy Lundi Gras, Mardi Gras, or any other time.
