About Carnival Mardi Gras Mardi Gras, launched in 2021, is a groundbreaking Excel-class ship that redefines the cruising experience with its innovative features and diverse amenities. With a gross tonnage of 180,800 and a guest capacity ranging from 5,282 to 6,338 passengers, it offers ample space for relaxation and entertainment. The restaurant selections at Carnival Mardi Gras give you a choice of 22 (yes, 22!) different locations to dine, both during the day and at night. Favorites from the Carnival, such as Guy’s Burgers and Bonsai Sushi, are still available at Mardi Gras. Located on Deck 6 on the Carnival Mardi Gras. Carnival's Fortune Teller Bar. The Fortune Teller Bar is beautifully themed with some truly unique and out-of-this-world cocktails. It’s available exclusively on the Carnival Mardi Gras in the French Quarter zone. To help passengers determine what’s open for which meal and Cucina Del Capitano on the Mardi Gras works differently than some of Carnival's older ships as on the Mardi Gras this is considered an alternative to the main dining room. Guests on Mardi Gras can dine one complimentary time in Cucina Del Capitano and then each additional visit costs extra ($8 per person at the time of writing). A trio of specialty restaurants onboard Mardi Gras are being made complimentary for a "limited time," with no word from the line as to when that Chef Ravin prepared a special fish and plant-based menu this year at his restaurant in Monaco. The chef’s modern adaptation of traditional Creole cooking at Carnival time will include the ever-popular ti nain, a combo of green bananas, codfish, and shredded cucumber, considered a meal in itself. Dates: March 2nd-March 5th Emeril’s Bistro 1396 is a specialty restaurant available only on Carnival Mardi Gras ship. It’s popular for its Cajun-Creole food. Chef Emeril Lagasse helped create the menu, which has tasty dishes like gumbo, jambalaya, po’boys, and desserts.
