Established in 1998 as a non-profit organization, the Krewe of Dionysos is dedicated to the development and celebration of the Mardi Gras Carnival Season in Natchitoches and the surrounding community. The route continues along Highway 1/South Drive north to Keyser Avenue and crosses the bridge over Cane River Lake to Jefferson Street and the Landmark Historic District. The parade winds through the historic district and Front Street amidst 1000s of voices yelling “Throw me something mister”. Krewe of Dionysus Parade Route This evening parade takes to the streets with elaborate floats, bright lights and revelry.
