ROAD CLOSURE ADVISORY: During the Mardi Gras parades, the City of Orange Beach closes Highway 182 (Perdido Beach Boulevard) within the city limits of Orange Beach, Alabama to vehicular traffic on Saturday from as early as 4:00 P.M. until as late as 7:30 P.M. and again on Tuesday from as early as 1:00 P.M. until as late as 4:00 P.M. Typically Orange Beach Mardi Gras Parade. The Orange Beach parade began years ago when several groups wanted a chance to parade along the beach. Now, it is organized each year by the City of Orange Beach. Join the 30,000 enthusiastic spectators lining Perdido Beach Boulevard for the annual event on March 4. The city of Orange Beach stepped in and took over the parade's planning. It's still open to participation by just about anybody, even groups outside of Orange Beach. The city will hold its 2024 Orange Beach Mardi Gras Parade at 2 p.m. on Fat Tuesday, February 13th on Perdido Beach Boulevard, beginning at the traffic signal near Wolf Bay Restaurant. The parade will end at the intersection of Highway 161 and Perdido Beach Boulevard near the Publix shopping center.
