The Krewe of Orion Proudly Presents – Masquerade – February 22, 2025! Each year, the Krewe of Orion throws the best, fun-filled, action packed Mardi Gras party in Baton Rouge – Masquerade ! This spectacular event combines all the excitement of a Mardi Gras ball, dancing, and a Mardi Gras parade all wrapped up in one dazzling package. With its expanse of bright stars, Orion, the mythological hunter of the skies, is an apt representation of diversity in the carnival krewe that bears his name. The Krewe of Orion was founded in 1998 by two young men who had a love for the spirit of Mardi Gras and a desire to bring that spirit and tradition to Baton Rouge. The Krewe of Orion’s 26th annual Mardi Gras parade in downtown Baton Rouge will take place on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 6:30 PM. Parade goers will be treated to a line of exciting, colorfully-lighted, and tractor-pulled floats. Celebrating this year’s theme, “A Visit to the Easy,” the Krewe of Orion hosted its 26th annual parade and ball on Feb. 22.
