The Krewe of Pygmalion. is a New Orleans Carnival Club founded in 1999 by a group of Carnival veterans who wanted to provide a high-quality parade during the first week of the Mardi Gras Season. Our annual parade follows the traditional St. Charles Avenue route, and is the most anticipated events of the Carnival season. In 2000, the Krewe of Pygmalion was founded by a group of Carnival veterans intent on providing a high-quality parade for the first week of the season. In Greek mythology, Pygmalion was a Cypress king who sculpted a statue of the sea nymph Galatea. He has made appearances during Mardi Gras in 2015 and 2018, and has made a point to stop in the Big Easy amidst his busy international touring schedule. “This is an exciting year for the Krewe of Pygmalion.
