The Isle of Wight is gearing up for its most vibrant and exhilarating event of the year, the Isle of Wight Mardi Gras 2024, which is set to take place on the streets of Ryde tomorrow (Saturday 6th IW Mardi Gras 2024 The 2024 theme was 'The Story of Carnival' The Programme is here!. The 2024 IW Mardi Gras took place in Ryde on Saturday 6th July with 22 school and community groups representing ‘The Story of Carnival’ from its roots in ancient traditions such as Ancient Egypt as well as looking at global carnival traditions today, and imagining what the carnivals of the future might FREE family activities at 'Mini Mardi Gras' Simeon Recreation ground in Ryde (PO33 1LP), 11am -2.30pm and a chance to join in the fun of the parade. Isle of Wight Mardi Gras Route Prepare to party with Ryde's Mardi Gras THIS SATURDAY This weekend, Isle of Wight Mardi Gras returns to Ryde, with the opening parade for National Children’s Carnival Week. Tomorrow (Saturday, July 9), on the theme of Our World Our Future, there will be a procession through the town and plenty of extra entertainment.
