Downtown Shreveport; 3:30 p.m. Parade starts at the corner of Lake Street and Clyde Fant Parkway, then heads south down Clyde Fant Parkway to Shreveport-Barksdale Highway. From there, the parade goes west until it makes a left on E Kings Highway. The parade ends at the corner of E Kings Highway and E Preston Street. A whole lotta Mardi Gras in Shreveport-Bossier! Krewe of Gemini held its first parade in the Shreveport-Bossier area in 1990. The nonprofit, volunteer organization is home to one of the biggest Mardi Gras parades in the area. The krewe also has a Mardi Gras museum filled with memorabilia highlighting the history of Mardi Gras in north Louisiana. The Krewe of Centaur Parade rolls Feb. 22 at 3:30 p.m. along Shreveport's traditional parade route beginning on Clyde Fant Parkway and ending at the duck pond on E. Kings Highway. The Krewe of Centaur Mardi Gras Parade will roll through on Saturday, Feb. 19 at 3 p.m. Police will close Clyde Fant Pkwy from Lake St. to Shreveport-Barksdale Hwy Friday night at 7.
