Jocco's Mardi Gras Madness was a dark ride located in Mardi Gras at Six Flags New Orleans. It opened with the park on May 20, 2000, and also closed with the park on August 21, 2005. Hurricane Katrina destroyed this dark ride designed and built by Sally Corporation for Jazzland / Six Flags New Orleans in 2005. Vi Jocco's Mardi Gras Madness was a unique interactive dark ride manufactured by Sally Corporation at Six Flags New Orleans. The outdoor part featured a huge animatronic called "Jocco", who was the evil jester mascot character of the ride. Jocco sat on the roof, he would laugh and shoot water onto the sidewalk, and move around encouraging guests to get inside. When guests are riding, they are New Orleans jazz, strange off-key calliope music and dozens of weird sound effects and voices, plus unexpected surprises, add to the spookiness of the experience.
