As we enter Mardi Gras season, I would like to invite you, your family, and your friends to come experience Mardi Gras in Slidell. Grab your lawn chairs, ice chests, and king cakes, and head out to the parade route to enjoy all the parades rolling through Slidell: Friday, Feb. 14 • 6:30 p.m. Krewe of Titans. Saturday, Feb. 15 • 12:00 p.m. Sometimes floats float! The Krewe of Bilge is a Mardi Gras boat parade in Slidell, Louisiana. For the last 40 years, Bilge has thrown beads, cups and other Carnival treasures to parade goers from the middle of Slidell waterways. Mardi Gras Southwest Krewe of Krewes Parade Founded in 1998, this 400-member, all-women's night parade has a 20+ float procession featuring hand-made, elaborately decorated purses as its signature throw, lighted star wands and a variety of specialty beads. Follows the traditional Slidell parade route. Selene closes the Carnival parade season in Slidell. Algiers Mardi Gras Parade and Festival. The Algiers Mardi Gras Parade and Festival will be back on Saturday, February 1 at New Orleans Federal City in Algiers.
