Mardi Gras Slidell prepares for a busy Friday with 2 parades After being rained out of its usual Sunday spot, the Krewe of Dionysus will now roll Friday right before the Krewe of Selene. The Krewe of Dionysus parade in Slidell, set for Sunday, will now roll on Friday, Feb. 28, Sunday's Mardi Gras parades will be rescheduled in New Orleans and Metairie. The Krewe of Poseidon parade will start at the intersection of Berkley Street and Spartan Drive in Slidell, Louisiana. The parade will follow Spartan Drive northwest to Highway 11, where it will turn northeast. The parade will follow Highway 11 all the way up to Gause Blvd., where it will proceed east on Gause. P.O.
