FEB. 28 The 46th Mardi Gras weekend kicks off in St. Louis with the Mayor’s Ball, followed by the Bud Light Grand Parade, and concludes with outdoor sales and events in the Soulard neighborhood. This event is the crown jewel of the Soulard Mardi Gras season and the biggest parade outside of the Big Easy. The krewes get rolling near Busch Stadium, but the real fun starts at Chouteau, where the crowds begin lining the streets. Granite City Mardi Gras Parade. The Granite City Mardi Gras event begins at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 1 at 29th & State Street.
