LOUIS — Soulard's biggest party of the year is back this weekend. The Mardi Gras main event, the Grand Parade, starts at 11 a.m. Here's everything you need to know if you are heading to Granite City Mardi Gras Parade. The Granite City Mardi Gras event begins at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 1 at 29th & State Street. Organizers say it will “bring Bourbon Street to you!” Enjoy live music, kids activities and shop local vendors. The Parade is followed by an after party in Civic Park at 2 p.m. Cocktail Carnival. FEB. 28 The Soulard Mardi Gras in St. Louis is one of the largest and most vibrant Mardi Gras celebrations in the United States, second only to New Orleans. The 2025 season promises weeks of lively parades, unique themed events, pet-friendly gatherings, and plenty of food and drink, drawing thousands to St. Louis’s historic Soulard neighborhood. After 10 am no person will be allowed to cross the street along the Parade route, in order to keep the street cleared for the parade. The only crosswalks are at Russell and Lafayette.
