Experience the vibrant Mardi Gras parade at Universal Orlando Resort with colorful floats, lively music, and exciting entertainment. (Out of the 32 parades that occur in Orleans Parish during Carnival season, Kern Studios designs and builds 20 of them, making up 70 percent of all the floats on parade.) The Universal Mardi Gras parade typically features 12 spectacular parade floats each year: six traditional ones that you'll see return year after year (such as the famous Universal’s Mardi Gras is an international celebration of carnival, with a focus on New Orleans’ famous Mardi Gras. The party started in 1996 with a parade furnished by the New Orleans fabrication firm Kern Studios. Designed to bring in the locals during a quiet period, Mardi Gras expanded with bigger musical acts and a longer season. Join us daily from Feb. 1-Mar. 30 for Mardi Gras 2025 at Universal Orlando Resort. Enjoy a parade and live concerts on select nights, beads, incredible food available for purchase and more. This year at Universal Mardi Gras the music’s louder, the celebration’s wilder, the food’s spicier and the party’s bigger than ever. In fact, the 2023 Universal Mardi Gras Celebration paved the way for a new Tribute Store location. Previously located in New York, this season’s shop can be found in the star-studded Hollywood section of Universal Studios Florida. The Tribute Store now alternates between these two spots. For Universal Mardi Gras 2025, the Tribute Store takes It’s time for the 2025 Universal Mardi Gras parade! The parade is performed nightly at Universal Studios Florida for the duration of the Carnaval celebration and has new floats for the 30th anniversary celebration! Guests can view it from the ground or participate as a bead thrower by signing up for the float ride experience. Universal Orlando Resort’s popular Mardi Gras event runs February 1st through March 30th at Universal Studios Florida theme park. Universal Mardi Gras is included with your theme park ticket, and it is offered daily through March 30th.
