Virgin Australia has hosted a “sky-high disco” for its annual Mardi Gras Pride Flights. VA1978 from Melbourne highlighted Australia’s first Mardi Gras parade in 1978, while VA2017 from Introducing the Sky-High Disco Pride Flight, presented by Virgin Australia. Pride Flight 2025 is set to debut one of the world’s first discotheque events at 38,000 feet. Dubbed the Sky-High Disco, services will depart from Brisbane and Melbourne to Sydney on Friday 28 February 2025, ahead of Australia's largest LGBTQ+ celebration.
