Throughout their journey, guests aboard the Carnival Mardi Gras can savor an assortment of complimentary culinary delights at several restaurants on board. Notable free dining establishments on Carnival Mardi Gras include: Carnival Cruise Line’s new ship, Mardi Gras, is absolutely chock-full of dining venues, many included and some with an up-charge. About Carnival Mardi Gras Mardi Gras, launched in 2021, is a groundbreaking Excel-class ship that redefines the cruising experience with its innovative features and diverse amenities. With a gross tonnage of 180,800 and a guest capacity ranging from 5,282 to 6,338 passengers, it offers ample space for relaxation and entertainment. Restaurants on Carnival and Mardi Gras that Are Completely Free. PALM RESTAURANT (Main Dining Room) The Palm Restaurant, the ship’s primary dining venue, can be found on Decks 6 and 7, and its name comes from those decks. The upscale but never stuffy setting is complemented by a dinner menu that features multiple courses and is updated daily. Cucina del Capitano on Carnival’s Mardi Gras. While Cucina del Capitano is normally an Italian specialty restaurant on Carnival with an extra charge of $18 for dinner ($6 for kids), on the Mardi Gras, it’s complimentary! Cucina Del Capitano on the Mardi Gras works differently than some of Carnival's older ships as on the Mardi Gras this is considered an alternative to the main dining room. Guests on Mardi Gras can dine one complimentary time in Cucina Del Capitano and then each additional visit costs extra ($8 per person at the time of writing). (For a limited time during the inaugural season on Mardi Gras, you’ll have your choice of complimentary dining at specialty restaurants Cucina del Capitano, Chibang! and Guy’s Pig & Anchor Free Specialty Restaurants on Carnival Mardi Gras A trio of specialty restaurants onboard Mardi Gras are being made complimentary for a "limited time," with no word from the line as to when that ends. Meal Time: Dinner Menu: Dinner: Cost: Additional : Adults: $24 : Kids 11 and under: $11 for kids menu orders : Great news: on Carnival Celebration, Carnival Jubilee and Mardi Gras, your first meal at Cucina del Capitano is on the house and additional visits are just $8! Carnival Cruise Line guests on the Mardi Gras, Carnival Celebration, and Carnival Jubilee are able to enjoy some of Carnival's specialty dining options for free at dinner (for at least one meal depending on the venue). This includes Cucina Del Capitano, Guy's Pig & Anchor Smokehouse, and Chibang. The official policy for Cucina del Capitano and ChiBang for Mardi Gras and Celebration is currently that the first time at either restaurant is free, each additional time would be $8 a person. (For Jubilee, there is no up charge for the inaugural season). My friend and I are travelling on the Mardi Gras in May. She has Celiac's and therefore has to eat Gluten Free. Have you seen how small the Anytime Dining MDR is on the Mardi Gras? It is puny.
