(KTVE/KARD) — On Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., the Northeast Louisiana Museum, in partnership with the Twin Cities Krewe de Riviere will host a Mardi Gras Cel 10:00 AM - Krewe of Janus Children's Mardi Gras Parade. The cutest Mardi Gras parade is rolling at Pecanland Mall's Center Court. This free event kicks off the day's celebrations with the cutest mini-Mardi Gras floats and even cuter riders. Complete with beads, candy, and other throws. Registration begins at 9:00 AM. 1:00 PM - Annual Krewe of OUACHITA PARISH (KTVE/KARD) — The time for the 2025 Krewe of Janus Mardi Gras Parade has changed, according to officials. Instead of 7 PM, the parade will reportedly begin at 3 PM. The first 250 finishers will receive specialty beads, a drink token from Flying Heart Brewing & Pub-West Monroe, and a silicone Mardi Gras cup. The race begins at 2:30 PM at the corner of Wood and Commerce Street. Courir de Mardi The Twin Cities' Krewe of Janus Parade has entertained revelers since 1984 who eagerly gather along the 3.8-mile route through West Monroe and Monroe. The KOJ Parade is Northeast Louisiana’s oldest and most recognized Mardi Gras Parade. The parade includes nearly 50 units featuring several High School bands! It's Carnival Time in the Twin Cities! There are several Mardi Gras activities happening in Monroe and West Monroe this Mardi Gras season. There will be two parades that will travel through both cities - Krewe de Riviere on Saturday, February 8 and Krewe of Janus on Saturday, February 15. Both parade routes will start in West Monroe.
