Come be a part of a 320-year-old tradition and experience the birthplace of Mardi Gras! 2025 parades in Mobile County: The Town of Dauphin Island kicks off Mobile County’s parade season with Krewe de la Dauphine rolling at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025. Get ready for Mardi Gras celebrated right. (City of Mobile) Mardi Gras in Mobile is an unforgettable experience, and it all kicks off two and a half weeks before Fat Tuesday. From February 14 through March 4, Port City comes alive with a whirlwind of colorful parades, grand balls and non-stop fun. Get ready for flying Moon Pies, great music, colorful floats, and all the Mardi Gras fun! Mobile Mardi Gras is family-friendly! It is the perfect reason to plan a visit to southern Alabama. There are over 40 parades that roll through downtown Mobile during the two and half weeks before Fat Tuesday.
