The Carnival Mardi Gras Casino and Serenity Deck Pool are Standouts Other highlights include the casino, which is by far the largest on Carnival, taking up a significant portion of Deck 7. The casino was great, the room was clean and we had a nice view from our large window. The majority of employees/if not all were wonderful. The casino was fun and I did see some decent winners. I did however If you cruise for the food and drinks, Mardi Gras will not let you down. Our meal at Rudi's Sea Grill was the best dining experience I've ever had on Carnival. So many good dining options onboard is a huge plus. Shaq's Big Chicken is the best fast food at sea. Emeril's is great for New Orleans style seafood. I went on Mardi Gras 3 weeks ago. My wife, two young kids and me. I sailed a lot as a kid (mostly Carnival but also RC and NCL) so on the MG I went platinum. It helped a lot with the lines for embarkation, guest services and disembarking. However, you’re right on. It’s quite crowded and the elevators are too small. Wow that casino is HUGE! No wonder I got such a good casino offer for my February 2022 Mardi Gras cruise! They have to fill it with gamblers! I do wish the non-smoking side was a bit bigger, but I’ll take it. Overall, it is a lovely casino. And I agree with some others; how will my travel companions ever find me in there? It's good to hear that there is a non-smoking casino, but there is no barrier between the two, what's to prevent the smoke from the smoking part to go toward the non-smoking part of the casino? Mardi Gras delivers close to Princess and Norwegian cruise line experiences. First time in an Interior Cabin and surprisingly it was great. Very quiet and good sleeping - Deck 15.
