Then we found out they meant Shaq, our Chief Fun Officer. (Happens all the time!) Anyway, when Shaq tells you to build a chicken joint on board, you start warming up immediately. The big guy brings his poultry know-how and good taste to the seas with Big Chicken! Just like Shaq’s a multitalented entertainer, his restaurant is no one-trick chick. Freedom has a Red Frog Pub; however, I don't think they offer the RFP food menu like Breeze and Magic do. (If they do, they offer "Firecracker Jamaican Wings" for $3.33 on the Pub Grub menu.) Big Chicken was first introduced on Carnival Ships with the launch of Mardi Gras. We experienced this new venue in December of 2021 when we sailed during her inaugural season. The lunch menu is simple which allows prompt service for the large numbers of passengers waiting in line! Cost to Eat at Big Chicken. Enjoying a meal at Big Chicken comes at no extra cost to Carnival Cruise Line guests, as it is included in the cruise fare. The Big Chicken is onboard multiple Carnival Cruise ships. This restaurant is based Shaq's Big Chicken and has a focus on chicken related foods. As of November 2023, the Big Chicken is on the Carnival Celebration, Mardi Gras, Carnival Radiance, and scheduled to debut on Carnival Jubilee in December 2023. Very soon, the line is elevating their partnership with the former professional NBA basketball player to bring his popular Big Chicken restaurant to the ocean.
