Just off the 10/1 sailing of the Mardi Gras. I greatly appreciated all past reviews of this ship on this forum as all the insights were incredibly helpful. I thought I would add my perspective on the Havana Staterooms as it was hard for me to find specific reviews on this cabin/experience type so Carnival Mardi Gras Review. 5.0 / 5.0. The Front Porch Easy to chat to wave hello etc. Most are heading to or from the Havana pool area anyway. The Havana decks on the Vista and Horizon are totally worth it for the "privacy". A bit confused by the Havana layout melding into the summer landing layout on the Mardi Gras, so we went spa cove for our upcoming 2021 cruise. I have never been in a interior, so my comments are somewhat jaded. That said, most interiors are along the walls of the Havana bar (in non Excel class ships), so my guess is there may be ambient noise. The action in the bar stops at 11. Just something to consider. LOVE the Havana area on Vista class. Best Carnival idea in decades. We had Havana Cabana in January - agree not worth the extra price. We had cruised on this ship a couple years ago and stayed in an interior room in the Havana area. We loved the perks that came with our room. Fast forward to 2019 and we booked a Havana Cabana room. Mardi Gras has the Loft 19 area with Cabanas and a huge Serenity area. Even with the small pool, some guests like the Havana cabins on Mardi Gras. One said Deck 8 rocks! Looking at booking a cruise on the Mardi Gras, anticipating the ship being very crowded. With that being said there is an approx $1200 difference between a standard balcony and Havana cabana, is it worth the extra $$ to have a separate pool area and more private lounge chairs and less little kids (have to be over 12).
