Mardi Gras Cruise Reviews - Onboard Activities - Kids areas Explore Mardi Gras Kids Areas new friends and BIG fun, Club O2 Dr. Seuss Bookville. 5.0 (1 Review) Carnival is also a great line for kids, but their kids clubs are smaller and just have a different vibe. When I cruised with kids my kids loved RCCL, carnival not so much. Mardi Gras is carnival's latest and greatest so your fine in that department, but If you have the opportunity to sail on an Oasis class for the same cost then I would do that. Same here! We pulled several options between RC and Carnival and where they say kids are free On RC, they make up for it in room cost, fees etc. we just did our first RC cruise a couple weeks ago (we've always sailed Carnival) and we actually only booked 4 of the 6 of us and put our other two kids on the in-laws room to make it work room count wise and it still cost us more for only 2 adults To be perfectly honest, the kids club is the main reason our kids choose cruising over the likes of Disneyland, Sea World, San Diego etc etc. I't may be more of the fact that it's an organized social opportunity, rather than the actual activities per sey, as they do spend a lot of time outside of the kids club but it's always socializing with kids they've met at the kids club. It looked like the ride lasted 30 seconds. The water slides were OK but the splash pad was very small and kids lost interest fairly quickly. The only kids area outside of the kids club was a very tiny Dr Seuss room made for younger kids. I don’t recommend this ship at all if you have kids. There are way to many people and not enough space. Carnival Mardi Gras Review. 5.0 / 5.0. Editor Rating. 218 reviews.
