They had booked The Mardi Gras Hotel awhile ago since it was cheap and close proximity to the festival grounds. I personally have never been to Vegas so I don’t know much about the hotels. Does anyone have any opinions on this hotel? I looked at reviews for this hotel and they seem very mixed online. Hotel Mazarin, would be my vote. I do not like to be on the other side of Canal during Mardi Gras. So much going on in the quarter. But that is just me. I do not like parades that much. Prefer people watching. But if you plan on watching parades mostly then Sheraton. I liked Mardi Gras. It has tons of dining options. I like ChiBang and Cucino. We didn’t get to try Emeril’s but loved walking through there. Chefs table, Rudi’s, 555, etc were always busy and we heard good things about the service and food there. The Mardi Gras might make sense if you were attending an event at the Convention Center, but other than that it is has little to offer someone simply going to enjoy a few days in Vegas. The "casino" is a small room with a few slot machines. There are exterior hallways, which always feels less safe to me. The casino on the Mardi Gras is gigantic unless you are a smoker. There is a huge assortment games.
