This year for Mardi Gras, Tuesday, March 4, we may get to New Orleans. But there are plenty of ways to mark the celebrations. Mardi Gras, or Fat Tuesday, refers to events of the Carnival celebration, beginning on or after the Christian feasts of the Epiphany and culminating on the day before Ash Wednesday, which is known as Shrove Tuesday. Summer might not be the most obvious time to throw a Mardi Gras-inspired party, but really, the theme is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the Grand Carnivale at Kings Dominion (Richmond, VA). From now through July 7, Kings Dominion is home to the all-new Grand Carnivale international festival.
