Each Mardi Gras Parade Krewe has a unique history and theme. Some have been around for decades, while others have been in existence for just a few years. Below is a full list of our member Krewes and their ball dates. Most Krewes are by invitation only if you would like to join a krewe, click on their name for their contact information. The Alexandria Mardi Gras Association was begun in 1994 by a consortium of local business leaders, the Alexandria-Pineville Convention and Visitors Bureau, Mardi Gras enthusiasts and the Krewes existing at that time. Gratiae was founded in 1998 by Jan Bordelon, Debbie Doggett, Cindy Crotty, Colette Glankler and Beth Ledet.
