Its simply plotted and lethargically paced, with the main strands focusing on the murders, an ineffective police investigation and a budding romance between an officer and one of the call girls. Well this movie is hardly what I would consider to be a “massacre”. Maybe a light spree although Mardi Gras Light Killing Spree doesn’t work quite as well. Every scene looks like any non-hardcore scene from a 70’s porn. The actual Mardi Gras part of the movie doesn’t start until the last 15 minutes. Thrifted boutique Blu-Ray number two is Mardi Gras Massacre, a similarly sleazy but far less artful horror film which borders on softcore porno brought to you by the fine people at Severin Films.
