The plot follows a serial killer roaming the streets of New Orleans, Louisiana, sacrificing women to an Aztec goddess. The film is notable for its reputation as a "video nasty," having been banned in the United Kingdom upon its release and given an X rating in Mardi Gras Massacre sees a man in a suit going around picking up "evil" whores to use for his Aztec sacrifices, which he's carrying out for some reason. Its simply plotted and lethargically paced, with the main strands focusing on the murders, an ineffective police investigation and a budding romance between an officer and one of the call girls.
