On the morning of Thursday (January 20, 2025), a hearing was held before Judge Reginald Badeaux in Franklinton and as a result, a temporary Restraining Order was kept in place that will prevent Bogalusa Mayor Tyrin Truong from cancelling the parade. The Krewe of MCCA secured a permit on December 10, 2024 for the annual Mardi Gras parade. Mayor Truong took to Facebook on January 27, 2024 in which he stated “ I’m sad to say this year that we will not be having a Mardi Gras parade in the City of Bogalusa if the 2025 budget is not passed.”
